The 2nd annual Brayden Odell Friendly Hockey Tournament was held under a sunny but frigid sky on Saturday February 24. Players and volunteers braved the -23 Celsius temperature at 10:30AM for a day filled with 5 on 5 matches, food and smiles. The teams and referees, Joelle and David kept warm on the ice while spectators and volunteers danced, huddled by the fire, and gathered by the barbecue for chili dogs.

Olivier and Fabien Provost for spending the night outdoors in minus 28 degree celsius weather to flood the rink. It had melted in the previous day's mild weather.

Over $5,400 was raised for the Brayden Odell AVM Awareness fund at Fondation CHU Hopital Sainte-Justine.  

Players of all ages hit the ice for nine games on the very rink that Brayden spent hours skating on for the 1st annual Brayden Odell Friendly Hockey Tournament. An entire day filled with 5 on 5 matches for players of all ages,outdoor BBQing, a candy bar and plus 2 celsius temperatures. The lunch hour featured a skills competition which saw players show off their tricks. Fact: the Pavillion that each of the players suited up in, was named in Brayden's honor in July 2021. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers,  our event manager Marie Andree from Evenements Touch Events, our sponsors P'tites Folies, Multi Disco Son, Tim Horton's and Maxi. Over $3,000 was raised for the Brayden Odell AVM Awareness fund at Fondation CHU Hopital Sainte-Justine.  We're looking forward to the 2024 edition.
